RESEARCH

The department received some computer hardware components as donations in January 2016 from a fellow of. With these components the department has constituted a number of research/project groups. The department’s research group, the Inter Disciplinary Entrepreneur And Skills (IDEAS) lab is currently executing the following projects:

1.    Automated attendance system (has unique features and could be adopted by the Servicom when deployed). This automated attendance system is capable of detecting when a staff goes out of a defined radius of FUPRE. Currently at its design stage.
2.    Automated wind power generating system (a source of clean energy – a revolutionary power system and a very timely palliative/savings from high fuel price). The following member of staff benefited from TetFund support for postgraduate studies.

A reasonable number of members of academic staff have established linkages and collaborations with world leading researchers not only from Africa but world all over.
