PROFILE OF DIRECTOR

The current Head of the department is Dr Mrs. Caroline Onwah.

She is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan and University of Lagos where she obtained her MBBS and Masters in Public health (MPH) degrees respectively.

She has many years of experience in University Health Administration, some of which were spent as Director of Health Services in the University of Benin.

During her tenure, the University of Benin witnessed great innovations in its health service delivery; a purpose built and befitting structure, an edifice was commissioned.

Services provided include x-ray diagnosis, ultrasonography, ECG. etc.

She also championed and successfully implemented the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for the staff of the university.
