SUB UNITS AND FUNCTIONS
i. ADMISSIONS
+ Dealing with all matters relating to undergraduate admission exercise.
+ Correspondence with prospective candidates on enquiries about admission requirements.
+ Cross-checking of academic credentials of new students.
+ Liaison with the Colleges on matters relating to admission/registration of students.
+ Matters relating to/the preparation of matriculation list and the maintenance of the matriculation register.
+ The issuance and safe-keeping of academic robes.
+ Issuance of clearance documents, registration documents, signing and circulation of course registration forms, students/library handbooks to fresh students.
+ Preparation and publication of advertisement for admissions into courses in the University.
+ Reproduction of admission criteria/amendment of same and forwarding to JAMB and ICT Directorate for publication.
+ Reproduction of the list of admitted, cleared and registered 100 Level students.
+ Participating in orientation of 100 Level (fresh) students.
+ Performing other duties as directed by the Head of Division and the Registrar.
ii. EXAMS AND RECORDS
+ The administration and conduct of all University Examinations through Examination observation.
+ Updating regulations and procedure on University Examinations e.g. distribution/publication of examination misconduct regulation to students prior to sessional examination.
+ The collection/collation of examination results for the consideration and approval of Senate.
+ Responsibility through the Head of Division for the identification and physical arrangement of examination halls in liaison with the Director of Works/University timetable officer.
+ Arrangement in liaison with the Director of Health Services for medical attention during examinations.
+ Cross-checking of academic credentials of new students.
+ Collation of request for examination materials.
+ Distribution of examination materials to College Officers for Semester examinations.
+ Issuance of sessional results to students and their sponsors.
+ Verify FUPRE transcripts, sessional results, statement of results and certificates of graduates in conjunction with Records/Transcripts Officer.
+ Processing requests for students carrying excess loads (15 minimum/24 maximum).
+ Processing of addition and deletion of courses.
+ Handling University Scholarships.
+ Issuance of transcripts to students on request.
+ Writing of reference for students seeking employment or assistance outside the University and letters of identification of students.
+ Processing requests for change of course/department by old students.
+ Maintenance of academic records/files of students.
+ Verify FUPRE transcripts, sessional results, statement of results and certificates of graduates in conjunction with Examination Officers.
iii. SENATE AFFAIRS
+ The preparation of Senate papers/notice of meeting and minutes of meeting of Senate.
+ Follow-up actions on Senate decisions.
+ The preparation of papers for the Business Committee of Senate.
+ The preparation of Committee of Deans papers.
+ Taking follow-up actions on Committee of Deans decisions.
+ Performing other duties as directed by Head of Division and Registrar.
iv. ALUMNI RELATIONS
+ Preparation of relevant students’ statistics e.g. Total admitted and total 100 Level registered students.
+ Total enrollment of old/new students by College, Department, Sex.
+ Computation of percentages/ratios.
+ Production of digest of statistics on enrollment.
+ Updating of students’ records and list/nominal roll of students by College, Department and sex annually.
+ Maintenance of files of all students.
+ Maintenance of graduate register.
+ Performing other assignments by Head of Division and Registrar.
